MR-360
MÖSSBAUER DRIVE UNIT

The Mössbauer Drive Unit MR-360 is used to control the source motion of Mössbauer velocity transducers . It can be operated together with all of our transducer models. The error minimisation facility of Drive Unit MR-360 provides a high precision of the source motion. By means of this facility the velocity transducer can be operated not only in its resonance frequency, but in the whole frequency range of approximately 1 ... 100 Hz.
A 3 1/2 digit display shows the maximum value of the velocity. The displayed value is based on a voltage measurement of the internal reference signal, which dermines the velocity. The measurement is triggered by the START pulse from the digital function generator at the time of the maximum of the waveform. In order to calibrate the velocity display, a Mössbauer calibration measurement has to be performed first. Then the display ed value of the maximum velocity is set by means of an adjustment screw on the fron panel.
The deviation of the motion from its ideal value is indicated by a LED bar with a logarithmic scale permitting an easy monitoring of the drive system.
